Lesson: Character Value
Objective: To learn that people have different values systems
Grade Level: preschool and up
Procedure:
1. Have students brainstorm five things they value or think are most important. Pair or group students and have them share their ideas. List values in their journals or on a class chart.Discuss ways that peoples actions and words show their values.
2. Either individually or as a class select a character from a book and fill in the chart below.

Follow Up Discussion: Discuss similarities and differences in their values and that of the character. Explore possible reasons for the differences.
