Peace Education through the Arts

friends

Teach Peace Now has added a new resource!

The arts are a powerful way to incorporate anti-bias, anti-bullying lessons into the curriculum.

Some of the most joyful experiences children can have in school are when they work in a group to create something greater than themselves - a mural, an original song, a class book, a dance, or a damatization. Many of the lessons and activities that coordinate with our Great Books incorporate the arts. We have also collected some wonderful songs and videos for you to share with your students and incorporate into your lessons.

Click Music & more in the left sidebar to link to our ever-growing collection of inspiring songs and videos.

TeachPeaceNow.org's mission...is to share books, activities, lesson plans, and ideas that teachers, parents, and students can use to promote values, attitudes and behaviors which encourage non-violent resolution of conflict, respect for human rights, democracy, intercultural understanding and tolerance.
